For years we have been hearing about migrants coming in our country and human trafficking. A hot topic but also a sensitive area. As LBI we regularly come into contact with people who have (had) to deal with this. We have seen various nationalities pass by. Including people from Nigeria, Cameroon, Rwanda, Burundi, Eritrea and Pakistan. They are all looking for a better future whether it is for political, religious or economic reasons. They are looking for a dignified existence. We cannot issue residence permits or determine who may or may not stay. Nevertheless, we will support them through:
- assisting people in a dignified way. We believe in righteousness, justice, respect for life and looking after the vulnerable.
- integrating people into society through education and various practical activities.
- administrative assistance.
